Hello! I’m Jake Loeffler, owner of Garage Outfitters. We specialize in restoring/protecting industrial and commercial concrete floors, and residential garage floor surfaces. Located in Williston, Vermont, the New England market that we service is a harsh environment for concrete floors, due to the drastic seasonal freezing and thawing, moisture pressure, cracking, and de-icing salts.  Epoxy coatings have been applied to concrete in the area for years, but only with marginal success, and with a tendency to wear prematurely.

In 2007, we were introduced to a new product and system through Joe Sheehan, owner of G-F One Coatings in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Although Polyaspartic Polyurea coatings were originally developed by Bayer Material Sciences for the purposes of coating steel, its superior performance could also be applied to coat and protect concrete. It was discovered that when a concrete floor was prepared properly, this coating and system would never delaminate or chip, and that it worked effectively as a waterproof coating which resists oils, road salts, and hot rubber tires.

In cooperation with Bayer, Joe Sheehan and his team developed a surface prep system that both repairs existing cracks and holes in the floor, while allowing the product to penetrate into and form a mechanical bond with the existing concrete surface.  Finally, we apply a decorative Polyaspartic Polyurea coating with a non-slip system that exceeds OSHA and ADA legal guidelines while lasting for years to come.
